Our client, a large social housing contractor, is seeking a qualified Domestic Electrician to work in occupied and void properties undertaking electrical fit outs. You will be responsible for replacing accessories, fault finding, consumer unit upgrades, installing fans, smoke detectors, full and partial rewiring, and Electrical Installation Condition Reports in domestic properties.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Install, service, and maintain electrical systems and appliances in domestic and commercial properties to a high-quality standard in accordance with the current Edition of The IET Wiring Regulations.
2. Install, repair, inspect, and test electrical installations; complete the appropriate Electrical Certificate for each task.
3. Provide excellent customer care, liaising with customers and clients daily.
4. Manage and order van stock tailored to your requirements.
5. Use handheld PDAs competently to receive and complete job orders.
6. Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
7. Follow company H&S procedures.
Requirements:
* Previous experience in a customer service-based role is essential; experience within Social Housing is advantageous but not required.
* Basic understanding of site-based Health & Safety.
* Relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, City & Guilds 2361 Part 1 & 2.
* 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations.
* Valid driving license.
* 2391 test and inspect qualification.
