Overview
Trust Housing Association has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Care & Support Worker (supporting Older People) to join our team in Duns, Scottish Borders. This is a full-time, permanent role with a competitive hourly rate of £15.00 per hour.
Responsibilities
* Support and mentor care and support staff; manage rotas; identify training needs; supervision; lead the writing of personal care & support plans.
* Provide practical support with tenants’ daily life including homecare and personal care; promote a positive, active and healthy lifestyle.
* Communicate effectively with the team to ensure coordinated care and a respectful, empathetic approach to tenants.

The Ideal Candidate / Requirements
* Experience in the care sector and working with older people or other vulnerable members of a community; understanding their needs and how to meet them
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills; supervisory experience
* SVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or a commitment to achieve this qualification to meet SSSC requirements
* Basic IT skills
* Previous experience is preferred but not essential; comprehensive training and support available; passion, empathy and dedication to helping tenants live their lives to the fullest
Important Information
Closing Date: 12 noon on Thursday 18 September 2025. Role subject to satisfactory interview, references and PVG check. You will be required to register with the SSSC, complete mandatory training and study for an SVQ if not already held. Right to work in the UK is required; sponsorship is not available.
