The Role
As a Personal CareAssistant, you’ll be part of our client’s dedicated support team, providingessential care in their home. You’ll be employed by HomeCareDirect but willfocus solely on supporting this client.
This post is for 24hrs perweek, working 2 x 12hr shifts.Shiftswill be allocated for either days, nights or weekends so you should be flexibleto meet the needs of the client and the rota.
Pay rates are broken down asfollows:
Monday to Friday 8am -8pm: £14.00
Monday to Friday 8pm -8am: £14.75
Saturday and Sunday 8am -8pm: £14.50
Saturday and Sunday 8pm -8am: £15.00
About the Client & YourResponsibilities
Our client is a non-verbal 20year old man with complex disabilities and needs. He is lively, joyful and loves music and beingsilly. He is looking for a friendly person to join his care team who can keephim upbeat and smiling.
Support is required withpersonal care, medication, moving and handling, ventilation and oxygen therapyand providing emergency aid when required.
Requirements
Training & Support
We provide comprehensive,paid training (to CQC standards) covering:
* Full induction
* Safeguarding Adults
* Health & Safety / First Aid / Food Hygiene
* Moving & Handling with hoist
* Personal care / Pressure area care / Sepsisawareness / Infection control
* Epilepsy / Learning Disabilities / Autism /Cerebral Palsy / MCA & D
All training must be completedbefore the start date, with training hours paid at minimum wage.
