Role Profile:
We are seeking an experienced UK-based Contractor, specializing in the refrigerators and air conditioners market across Saudi Arabia, UAE, UK, France, Germany, Italy, and the USA. This role blends primary research, market sizing, and data analysis to deliver country-level intelligence covering both consumer and B2B segments. Strong B2B market experience is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Market Intelligence
2. Conduct structured interviews with manufacturers, distributors, commercial accounts, and retail partners to build country-level insights and high-quality sell-in/sell-through datasets.
3. Market Sizing & Vendor Landscape
4. Build country models for refrigerators and air conditioners (units, revenue, ASP, channel mix, consumer vs. commercial) and map vendor market shares and positioning.
5. Triangulate primary findings with secondary sources to enhance accuracy and fill data gaps.
6. Industry & Operations Insight
7. Assess pricing, product segmentation, distribution strategies, partnerships, local manufacturing, ODM capacity, and supply chain dynamics.
8. Understand cross-border shipments, import/export rules, and energy-efficiency standards; identify and evaluate grey market activity where relevant.
9. Reporting & Communication
10. Lead the research in the vendor market share database and forecasts; present findings clearly to stakeholders.
11. Respond to client inquiries and collaborate with the Omdia team to meet research needs.
What do I need?
12. Several years' experience in home appliances/HVAC market research, vendor-side roles, or related consulting across GCC, Europe, and/or the US.
13. Strong B2B market experience is preferred.
14. Strong analytical skills; advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
15. Proven ability to work independently, manage interviews, and synthesize diverse datasets.
16. Established industry network preferred; cultural awareness for global collaboration.
17. Fluency in English required; additional languages (Arabic, French, German, Italian) are a plus.
