Job Description
CMDP is a joint venture between Costain and MWHT, delivering schemes to maintain and improve Southern Water’s water supply and wastewater treatment works in Kent & Sussex regions.
Responsibilities
1. Develop programmes and forecast budgets with the Senior Agent; derive indices to assess programme and productivity; prepare reports for reviews.
2. Manage supply chain contract conditions, works, and account measurement with the commercial team.
3. Requisition resources timely to ensure availability and prevent delays.
4. Reconcile planned vs. actual resources for weekly reports; control and order resources.
5. Complete inspection/test plans, risk assessments, and method statements; ensure timely documentation.
6. Maintain records of resources on additional works.
7. Ensure delivery tickets are cost-coded and processed.
8. Keep accurate daily site diaries, including variations, subcontractor attendance, and discussions.
9. Manage, supervise, and mentor site and assistant engineers.
10. Review performance and training needs with the Senior Agent.
Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
* Understanding of Engineering Principles.
* Knowledge of construction contract law and forms.
* Technical knowledge of construction techniques and practices.
* Computer skills (MS Word, Excel, document control systems).
Qualifications
* Degree or HND in Civil Engineering or related field.
* Vocational Engineering training.
* Relevant CSCS Card.
* Health & Safety and Environmental management training.
