Job Description
* Job title: Driver
* Department: Logistics
* Reports to: Logistics and Transport Manager
* Location: Portal Mill, Melksham
Job Summary
Minimum 42-hour week. Working any 5 days out of 7. Some nights away required. Some weekend work required. Variable start/finish times depending upon business requirements.
Specific Responsibilities
* To deliver Herman Miller products to end customers as required.

* Health & Safety: ensure that safe working practices are followed. Attend safety briefings, as requested. Take responsibility for your own and your co-workers safety in accordance with The Health & Safety at Work Act 1974, and The Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulation 1999.
* Compliance: ensure compliance with business systems, processes, certification schemes, regulations and legislation relevant to the scope of your role. Support internal quality controls and audits to demonstrate compliance.
Job Holder Requirements
* C+E licence (artic)
* Digital tachograph card
* Driver qualification card (CPC)
* No more than 6 points on licence for minor offences
* Working knowledge of drivers’ hours and the working time directive
* Drawbar Experience Preferred But Not Essential.
* Good geographical knowledge
* Calm under pressure
* Able to respond positively to change and adapt to meet new challenges
