The Goods In/Out Manager is responsible for overseeing all warehouse operations relating to the receipt, storage, handling and dispatch of goods. The Goods In/Out Manager will lead and support the Goods In/Out team, coordinate with production and drive improvements in workflows, accuracy and quality.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage Goods In and Dispatch operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of materials.
* Manage the end-to-end logistics process including goods warehousing, transportation and distribution
* Manage loading and unloading of vehicles, ensuring manual handling and forklift procedures are followed correctly.
* Ensure accurate receipt of all deliveries, managing reporting of discrepancies, damages, and incomplete orders.
* Ensure accurate and timely recording of Goods In/Out activity including quantity checks, quality checks, and system updates.
* Monitor packaging inventory and report low stock levels to the relevant manager.
* Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and Environmental requirements, including proper PPE usage and reporting hazards.
* Collaborate with production to prioritise jobs and maintain efficient workflow.
* Perform or oversee forklift safety checks, ensuring corrective action is taken when needed.
* Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
* Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
* Maintain and monitor required training certifications for the team.
* Liaise with couriers and third-party shipping agents to coordinate domestic and international shipments, ensuring compliance with regulations
* Supervise logistics team of 4
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and industry standards
* Resolve any logistical issues or delays promptly
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives across logistics operations, identifying bottlenecks and implementing solutions.
* Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly warehouse
Skills and Qualifications
* Proven experience in Goods In/Out management or a similar role
* Strong understanding of supply chain procedures and best practices
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills
* Ability to analyse and make informed decisions
* Strong leadership and people management capabilities
