Tax Senior\n\nSwindon\n\nFull Time – 37.5 Hours per week; office based plus work from home on Wednesdays, if desired\n\nSalary is dependent on experience\n\nWe are currently recruiting for a Tax Senior to join our client based in their Swindon office.\n\nOverview:\n\n * To assist the Partners in delivery of all corporate, personal tax and payroll services.\n\n * The role will predominantly involve oversight of the tax compliance functions, and reviewing work of the team, however some processing work will be required.\n\n * There are strong prospects of progression for this role.\n\nThe Tax Senior duties will be:\n\n * \n\n * Responsibility for oversight of all tax compliance work for the Practice:\n\n * Corporation tax\n\n * Personal, trust and partnership tax\n\n * Payroll\n\n * \n\n * Preparing and reviewing: o corporation tax returns and business tax computations including supporting analysis\n\n * Personal tax returns for individuals, partnerships and trusts\n\n * Reviewing payroll and associated calculations\n\n * Taking the lead and assisting on tax assignments\n\n * Supervising, delegating and reviewing tax and payroll work of juniors\n\n * Delivering information and communicate with clients in a timely and effective manner\n\n * Assisting the Managers and Partners on ad-hoc project work\n\nQualifications:\n\n * CTA qualified/part-qualified with at least 3 years of practice experience at a senior level (qualification by experience will be considered)\n\nThe Tax Senior will have the following attributes and skills:\n\n * Ability to multitask and prioritise a number of jobs, whilst demonstrating excellent time management skills to ensure all deadlines and expectations are met\n\n * Experience leading on tax compliance\n\n * Display strong technical knowledge of corporation tax, income tax, capital gains tax and payroll\n\n * Excellent verbal and written communication skills\n\n * Strong analytical skills with good attention to detail\n\n * Display commercial awareness\n\n * Strong interpersonal skills\n\n * Good experience using a variety of bookkeeping software, including cloud-based platforms such as Sage, QuickBooks and Xero.\n\n * Experience using CCH, BrightPay and MyWorkPapers is preferred but is not essential\n\nWhat you can expect in return:\n\n * 22 days holiday plus bank holidays. Increasing annually to a maximum of 25 plus bank holidays\n\n * A relaxed working environment whilst maintaining a high level of professionalism\n\n * Continuous training and development of new and existing skills.
