Electrical Design Engineer
We are seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join a growing team in the power generation and energy solutions industry. The company works across a variety of power and energy projects, including backup power solutions, distributed energy systems, and renewable technologies.
This role is ideal for an engineer with a strong foundation in electrical design who is keen to develop their skills further in power systems, distribution, and control systems. You’ll work alongside experienced colleagues on projects that keep critical industries running when it matters most.
Electrical Design Engineer Key Responsibilities:
* Support the design of electrical systems, including single line diagrams, panel layouts, and general arrangement drawings.
* Ensure designs meet client specifications and industry regulations.
* Produce and maintain technical records, drawings, and documentation.
* Assist with bills of materials and electrical packages.
* Work closely with project managers to support delivery on time and to budget.
* Collaborate with production and site teams during build and installation.
* Keep up to date with new technologies and industry developments.
Electrical Design Engineer Skills & Experience:
* Degree or HND in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
* Knowledge of electrical design, power distribution, and control systems.
* Familiarity with relevant electrical standards and the 18th Edition (desirable).
* Working knowledge of AutoCAD or EPLAN for electrical drawings.
* Practical understanding of LV (400v) systems, HV experience (3.3kv–11kv) would be an advantage but not essential.
