Description: Connect2Kent have an exciting opportunity for experienced Reception Centre Manager to assist with the running of a brand new Children's Home located in Kent. Purpose of the role: To lead and manage a team of Centre Workers, ensuring young people at the Reception Centre attend appointments, develop independent living skills, engage in activities, and feel safe and supported. Main Duties and Responsibilities: Lead daily handover meetings and allocate tasks to Centre Workers. Ensure new arrivals receive the Young Person's Guide and orientation, with interpreter support where possible. Monitor attendance at appointments and ensure reports are completed and quality checked. Submit accurate reports and incident records to Business Support and Operations Manager. Oversee participation in Child in Care reviews and age assessment observations. Manage bedroom availability and belongings checklists for arrivals and departures. Maintain accurate financial records for any money handled. Create weekly activity plans and encourage engagement in meaningful activities. Provide regular supervision and support to Centre Workers. Promote young people's independence, choices, and well-being. Work collaboratively with managers, social workers, and other professionals.
