Our client, a leading organisation in the automotive sector, is currently seeking an Engine Systems Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. The successful candidate will work on electronic system projects to develop systems meeting regulatory and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Define system architecture and related diagrams and schematics
* Select suitable electronic components
* Participate in failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) and validation activities
* Provide technical support for pinouts, schematic questions, and software functionality
* Investigate, analyse, and troubleshoot quality issues
Job Requirements:
* Degree-qualified engineer with experience in systems engineering for electronic engine, machine, or automotive control systems, or equivalent qualifications and experience
* Experience in system integration for fault finding and electronic system design
* Ability to develop detailed electronic-related customer requirements
* Experience defining electronic features and coordinating development with other teams
* Perform system verification testing of components and software features
* Participation in FMEA development processes
* Understanding of internal combustion engines and control mechanisms
* Strong ability to build and maintain relationships within a global team
* Experience with off-highway electronic control systems or similar in automotive, marine, or military vehicles
* Knowledge of engine systems related to electronics, such as fuel and air systems
* Experience with requirements management tools like DOORS or Teamcenter
* Proficiency with CAN, Vector CANape, and CANalyzer tools
* Proficient in using oscilloscopes for development
* Familiarity with product structuring tools like Siemens Teamcenter Engineering or Creo
* PPAP or FMEA facilitation and design validation experience
