A highly regarded, award-winning Yorkshire law firm is seeking an experienced Employment Law Solicitor (5+ years’ PQE) to lead its established Employment team.
This is a rare opportunity to head up a nationally recognised Employment practice within a high-profile firm known for its work across commercial sectors, including sport and corporate advisory.
The firm has a strong national reputation in Employment Law and acts for a broad client base including major businesses, sports organisations, corporate entities and private individuals.
The Role
You will advise employers and individuals on a full spectrum of employment matters, including:
1. Day-to-day contentious and non-contentious employment advice
2. Employment Tribunal claims and representation
3. Settlement agreements
4. Directors’ service agreements
5. Contracts, policies and handbooks
6. TUPE advice (working closely with the Corporate team)
7. Restrictive covenants
8. Workplace investigations and mediation
9. HR support and training seminars
You will lead the team, manage complex matters independently and play an active role in business development.
About You
10. Minimum 5 years’ PQE in Employment Law
11. Strong tribunal experience, including drafting pleadings and witness statements
12. Experience negotiating settlements for employers and employees
13. Commercially minded with sound risk assessment skills
14. Confident working independently and managing a diverse caseload
15. Proactive, client-focused and committed to high professional standards
16. Keen to contribute to marketing and business development
