Role: KS2 Teacher Start Date: September 2024 Permanent Full Time ECT’s are welcome to apply! Requirements for a KS2/Phase Lead Teacher To be considered for the position of KS2/Phase Lead Teacher, candidates should generally meet the following requirements: Qualifications and Experience: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Valid in the UK. Relevant Teaching Experience: Extensive experience teaching within the KS2 (Key Stage 2) phase. Leadership Experience: Proven ability to lead and manage a team of teachers and support staff, with a history of improving educational outcomes. Skills and Competencies: Leadership Skills: Strong leadership abilities to inspire, motivate, and develop staff members. Curriculum Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the KS2 curriculum and assessment standards. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to engage effectively with students, parents, staff, and the wider community. Data Literacy: Ability to analyze and utilize data to inform teaching practices and improve student performance. Organizational Skills: Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities and prioritize tasks effectively. Personal Attributes: Passion for Education: A genuine enthusiasm for teaching and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment. Reflective Practitioner: Proactive in seeking feedback and continuously improving teaching practices. Resilience: Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure, with a solution-oriented mindset. Additional Responsibilities: Curriculum Leadership: Leading the KS2 team in planning and delivering an engaging, effective curriculum that meets the needs of all students. Staff Development: Supporting and mentoring KS2 staff to ensure high-quality teaching and facilitating professional development opportunities. Assessment Coordination: Overseeing assessments, tracking student progress, and ensuring accurate and timely reporting. Policy Implementation: Working with senior leadership to develop and implement school-wide initiatives, policies, and procedures. Parental and Community Engagement: Building strong partnerships with parents and the local community to support student learning and well-being. Resource Management: Efficiently managing resources, including budgets and materials, to support teaching and learning activities. School Information: This is a vibrant and welcoming educational institution. It is a two-form entry primary school with a Good Ofsted Rating.
