At NEXT we have a great opportunity for an In-Store Visual Merchandiser to join our VM Field Team on a temporary contract for 7 months, based in and responsible for the following stores, As an In-Store Visual Merchandiser you will be responsible for creating and maintaining a visually inspiring shopping environment for the NEXT customer focusing specifically on MENSWEAR. You will implement Head Office VM Guidelines to a high level, supporting & developing store teams along the way. We are looking for someone with a creative eye and the ability to adapt layout guidelines to individual store needs and differing stock packages, whilst maintaining company standards.
Responsibilities
* Deliver the best visual merchandising standards at all times, within your designated stores.
* Adapt layout guidelines to suit individual store layouts and stock packages.
* Ensure fixtures, layouts and customer navigation are maintained.
* Analyse space management and best sellers to support layout decisions.
* Plan and communicate phase changes onto store planograms.
* Support phase change shifts in your designated stores.
* Ensure all marketing, graphics and props are correct and relevant.
Stock Management
* Support store compliance reports and daily new lines, range plans, etc.
* Ensure stock rotation and replenishment to maximise sales.
* Maintain a safe working environment for customers and colleagues by complying with store H&S guidelines.
Communication
* Work alongside and forge good working relationships with in-store staff and managers.
* Agree priorities on a regular basis with the Regional Manager and store manager.
* Feed back phase and stock issues to line managers and the mock shop teams.
* Work in conjunction with the in-store display team.
* Control, manage and order marketing items where necessary.
* Attend Head Office monthly for phase change updates to be communicated.
Qualifications
* To have a genuine flare and interest in visual merchandising, with a proven track record.
* The ability to provide excellent service to both customers and colleagues.
* A personal drive, motivation and resilience.
* Good analytical, planning and time management skills.
* Ability to learn quickly and react in fast moving environments.
* Be able to prioritise and work to tight deadlines.
* Work on your own initiative, independently or as part of a group.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Can perform general manual handling duties and tasks, including lifting, carrying, using ladders etc.
* Hold a full UK driving licence.
* Ability to travel to other stores/locations where required.
