Job Overview
This post offers an exciting opportunity to join the radiology department at Bradford Royal Infirmary. The post is based across Bradford Royal Infirmary and St Luke's hospital and there will be a rotation of duties within the site across all the specialties. The successful applicants will work with our friendly team of Radiographers, Sonographers, Radiologists, and other support staff, in our busy and dynamic department, to fulfil the commitment to provide a high quality service to patients undergoing diagnostic procedures.
Responsibilities
* Oversee and coordinate the outpatient waiting areas; assist with preparing patients for their CT, MR or ultrasound scans and care for them during and after their examinations.
* Perform cannulation and venepuncture and take blood samples for testing.
* Support staff while performing scans and chaperone patients throughout their appointment journey.
* Assist consultant radiologists with fluoroscopic guided procedures and maintain the patient flow within the department.
* Contribute to the diagnostic imaging process, maintaining high standards of care, competence, professional manner, punctuality and appearance.
* Maintain departmental stock control.
* Participate in performance appraisal and job review as part of the performance appraisal system.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a clinical healthcare setting such as a care home, community or hospital setting.
* NVQ/QCF Diploma or Apprenticeship at Level 2 or equivalent in Care.
* Good verbal and written command of English, Mathematics and I.T. skills.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
* Smart appearance and pleasant professional manner.
