Payroll Administrator - Fixed Term Contract

THE COMPANY:
A well-established organisation based in Great Barr is seeking a Payroll Clerk to join their friendly payroll team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with payroll experience who is looking for a long-term career move.

WORKING HOURS:
35 hours per week
Monday
Thursday: 8.50am
5.00pm
Friday: 8.50am
4.10pm
DUTIES:
Support the payroll team in processing monthly payroll for around 1,000 employees (both salaried and hourly-paid staff)
Input hours and ensure accuracy of payroll data
Double-check, reconcile and extract payroll information
Process expenses (multiple runs per month)
Assist with the transition to a new payroll system (MHR) in April 2026
Work collaboratively within a small payroll team of three
THE CANDIDATE:
Previous payroll experience is essential
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work to deadlines and manage workloads effectively
Confident using payroll systems and adapting to new software
Team player with a proactive approach
Must be able to pass a DBS check (employer funded)
