Are you a compassionate Dietitian with experience working with people with mental illness and/or learning disabilities? Join Ty Glyn Ebwy as a Specialist Dietitian.
As a Specialist Dietitian, you will support service users within the hospital's secure mental health and learning disabilities services with a range of conditions, working as part of a uni-professional and multi-professional team.
You will be responsible for supporting the delivery of the dietetic service across the hospital, supporting the ongoing implementation of the Hospital's Nutrition and Hydration Strategy, and helping people make informed, healthier choices regarding eating and drinking.
With experience in managing a caseload, you will be involved in completing assessments, planning, implementing interventions, and evaluating outcomes aligned to care plans. You will also have opportunities for clinical supervision and training to enhance your skills and development.
With a strong emphasis on teamwork, you'll receive support from local and regional healthcare professionals and have access to various training courses to support your career goals.
Responsibilities include:
* Developing and actively participating in a need-led service.
* Providing both individual and group dietetic clinical services.
* Conducting assessments, planning, implementing interventions, and evaluating outcomes as per individual care pathways.
* Planning and delivering interventions collaboratively with patients.
* Maintaining accurate patient records and reports following hospital and professional standards.
* Establishing effective communication with patients, carers, staff, and other agencies.
* Implementing evidence-based therapeutic activities to aid mental health recovery.
* Providing training and education as a central part of the role.
* Collaborating with professional and clinical colleagues and liaising with external agencies.
Requirements for success:
* Diploma or degree in Dietetics.
* HCPC Registration.
* Knowledge of Mental Health Act 1983 & CPA.
* Experience working in a similar setting.
