Job Summary:
Acuity Care Group is seeking a dedicated and experienced Learning and Development Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing comprehensive learning and development programs for our staff members. This role requires expertise in learning disabilities and autism, strong leadership skills, and the ability to travel across England as needed.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and implement learning and development programs tailored to the specific needs of staff working with individuals with learning disabilities and autism.
* Provide leadership and guidance to the learning and development team, ensuring effective delivery of training programs.
* Conduct training needs assessments and develop strategies to address identified gaps in knowledge and skills.
* Deliver training sessions on topics such as Moving and Handling, Basic Life Support, Administration of Medication, and Company Induction.
* Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments, feedback, and performance reviews.
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment of training programs with organisational goals and regulatory requirements.
* Stay updated on best practices, research, and developments in the field of learning disabilities and autism to inform training content and delivery.
* Monitor and maintain training records, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Essential Experience:
* Previous experience working with individuals with learning disabilities and autism.
* Proven management experience, with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
* Strong knowledge and experience in delivering training on topics such as Moving and Handling, Basic Life Support, Administration of Medication, and Company Induction.
* Willingness to travel across England as required for training delivery and support.
Preferred Experience:
* Certification or training in Autism Awareness, PBS (Positive Behaviour Support), Dysphagia, Epilepsy and Ligature, PROACT SCIP (Prevention and Management of Crisis Situations).
Qualifications:
* Relevant qualifications in learning and development, education, social care, or a related field.
* Additional certifications or training related to learning disabilities, autism, and management are desirable.
