Salary: £30,000 per annum plus on-call allowance £700 per annum and sleep-in allowance at £50 per sleep-in

Contract/Hours: Permanent, Full-time – 37 hours per week

About the role
Merryfields is a 14 bed Short Break Residential Service providing 24-hour care for 5 – 18 year olds with moderate to severe learning disabilities. We strive and work towards providing top tiered person–centered care. We also hold various activities on a day-to-day basis to encourage social experiences and promote equality and diversity throughout the service.
As a Team Leader Residential, you'll will provide an environment where the young people we support, will receive positive experiences of reliable, consistent parenting through providing specific and structured care, with very clear consistent boundaries.
You will support the Registered Manager and other Team Leaders in the day to day running of the service and deputise in their absence, whilst working as part of a multi-disciplinary team ensuring that the children and young people, we support develop to reach their full potential.

How you'll create brighter futures
* Providing direct line management to a team of residential staff to deliver high standards of care.
* Supporting Young People to achieve positive outcomes.
* Preparing for and participating in Multi-Disciplinary Team meetings including reviews, safeguarding conferences / court work, EHC planning meetings etc.
* Being an advocate for the wellbeing of the young people we support
* Leading and assessing staff, carrying out supervisions, appraisals and risk assessments.
Let's talk about you
* A minimum of Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People's Workforce Social Care Pathway/Residential Care or equivalent
* Experience of a senior role in a children's home, residential short breaks or children's services.
* Experience of working with children with challenging behavioural/emotional and complex needs.
* Flexibility to work shifts and participate in the on-call rota.
* A driving licence is desirable as we work closely as a cluster of services across Aylesbury and High Wycombe and travel may be required for this purpose and for attending training and meetings'
