This is a super opportunity for an experienced Accounts Assistant to be an integral part of the small finance team. Reporting to the Finance Director, you will be responsible for a range of accounting duties: * Maintaining the purchase and sales ledger. * Preparing supplier bank payments. * Bank postings and reconciliations. * Maintaining the fixed asset register. * Preparing and posting the month end adjustments for accrual, deferred income, prepayments, accrued income, depreciation etc. * Dealing with supplier payment queries * Investigating and resolving accounting discrepancies. Salary: £28,000 - £30,000pa benefits including 25 days holiday bank holidays, pension, etc Location: On site role Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week, Mon – Fri, some flexibility on start and finish times. Start Date: Immediate start available although not essential. Accounts Assistant – The Person: * The successful candidate will be proactive, friendly and enjoy being in a busy role. * Recent accounts experience including purchase and sales ledger as well as bank reconciliations is essential. * Good IT skills including MS Excel, experience of Sage is desirable. * You will need to be organised and able to work using your own initiative.
