Security Officer - Festival Place Shopping Centre
Pay rate: £13.47 (Salaried £29,603.14 PA)
Hours: Full time - 42 hours on average per week
Shifts: Provided one month in advance (Mix of Day and Night Shifts)
Shift times: 07:00-19:00 and 19:00-07:00; paid breaks
Mitie is looking for security officers who can deliver unprecedented customer service whilst creating a safe shopping environment, free from crime and the fear of crime for customers and colleagues. Working in a Shopping Centre Environment no 2 days are the same.

Festival Place is a 1.1m sq ft shopping centre situated in the centre of Basingstoke, just off the M3, housing over 140 big brand stores including Next, Marks & Spencer, Apple, and H&M. It is home to over 20 mouth-watering eateries including BrewDog, Côte Brasserie, Las Iguanas, Ask Italian, Pizza Express, Wagamama, Pret, Five Guys, and Nando's and a 10 screen Vue multiplex cinema. Festival Place provides you with a safe shopping experience. We employ overt security measures, but also operate a number of unseen, covert security measures for your protection.

Main duties:
* To deliver industry leading customer service
* To deter violence, public order or ASB offences
* To conduct patrols of the Shopping Centre
* Liaising between CCTV Operators and The Duty Management Team to support the reduction of crime and stock loss for our retailers
* Liaise with the store management teams and carrying our regular "Buddy" Store visits to assist with Crime prevention advice, identification of offenders and crime reporting
* Work in collaboration with the Police and crime partnerships where required to foster a great working relationship to support the reduction of crime in the Town Centre
* To wear Body Worn CCTV to support in the reduction of crime and increase colleague and customer safety
* To highlight and address any H&S concerns
* Testing of Live safety systems as required
* Attending Fire Alarm activations and assisting in evacuations in accordance with the Centres emergency plans
