What to Expect in This SEMH TA Role: Provide one-to-one or small group support to students with SEMH needs. Assist in classroom activities and adapt tasks to meet individual emotional and learning requirements. Support students with behaviour management, focus, and engagement. Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral staff to implement personalised support plans. Maintain a safe, nurturing, and structured learning environment. Requirements for This SEMH Teaching Assistant Role: Previous experience supporting children with SEMH needs is desirable. Patient, empathetic, and understanding approach. Strong communication and relationship-building skills. Confident, proactive, and adaptable in challenging situations. Commitment to student wellbeing and safeguarding.
