What is the job role?
Drivers must posses a D1 category license and have passed the City Council Defensive Drivers Assessment or be willing to undertake the assessment. You will also participate in the MiDAS training scheme ensuring you meet your legal Health and Safety responsibilities.
Please note; this post may suit a semi-retired person looking to take on some part time paid driving work within the local community.
1. You will need to be over 21 years of age and hold a full clean driving licence for a minimum of three years
2. Able to help pupils and young adults on and off minibuses and in and out of people carriers
3. Be flexible and patient in your approach
4. Have a caring nature and sensitive to others with additional need
5. Work as part of a team
6. Reliable and trustworthy
7. A geographical knowledge of the City and surrounding area
8. Willing to participate in training
Who are we looking for?
15 hours per week minimum
7:30am – 9:00am / 3:00pm – 4:30pm Monday to Friday term time only plus additional overtime hours available through various local school trips taking place daily.
