We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant SENDCo to join our experienced and hard-working team, bringing strong primary training and a secure understanding of KS2 pedagogy. Working closely with the SENDCo, you will play a key role in the development and delivery of our bespoke curriculum for low attaining pupils some with EHCPs and complex needs. You will help to shape a curriculum that places literacy, personal development and practical learning at its heart, ensuring every pupil can access meaningful, ambitious learning experiences.
A key part of the role will also involve building and sustaining positive relationships with parents and external professionals to ensure a truly collaborative approach to each child’s provision. The role over time will include supporting high quality one plan creation, ongoing review and maintenance of SEND documentation, and supporting statutory processes, such as Annual Reviews.
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled practitioner who is passionate about inclusive education and ready to make a significant difference to the lives of our learners‑quality one‑plan creation, ongoing review and maintenance of SEND documentation, and to plan and deliver high‑quality teaching for KS3 students working significantly below age‑related expectations with a focus on literacy, numeracy, communication, and foundational learning.
