As Days Supervisor you will have responsibility for management of the shift
Manage effective communications across departments to ensure that personnel have the appropriate information to carry out tasks
· Liaise with Phase Controllers, Warehouse Operatives and the Site Manager to co-ordinate store activities
· Liaise with the administration function and transport providers, and take corrective actions within the store as necessary
Deploy operatives within resource parameters and to increase efficiencies within the operation, whilst meeting customer requirements
· Co-ordinate the unloading and storing deliveries; handballing of containers or product as required
· Co-ordinate the correct picking, loading and despatching of orders
· Ensure that extra work is not undertaken on loads without an agreement for additional charges
· Co-ordinate the activities of operatives and reach truck checkers
· Carry out duties in such a way as to protect the integrity of products within the care of the company
· Follow and lead by example with regards to all processes relevant to work area, and undertake the role of operative when necessary
· Be a super-user for the site's WMS system
Raise awareness of, and ensure compliance with H&S, legal, quality and safety standards during the undertaking of duties
· Operate all types of equipment, machinery and MHE on site within training capabilities and company authorisation
· Ensure the correct and proper use of all equipment, machinery and MHE by all operatives
· Using the non-conformance procedure, report and where required, take ownership of any damages or defects to property or work equipment
Provide information to the Site Manager to allow for the correct reporting of agreed KPI's
Motivate and develop staff within remit
· Maintain required levels of performance and working practices to include any disciplinary aspects and back to work interviews
Take a key role in implementing, maintaining, communicating and co-ordinating food safety and quality systems ensuring that the site meets or exceeds its legal obligations in respect of food safety, quality and operations
· Ensure that Critical Control Points (CCP's) are effectively monitored and that corrective actions are taken where necessary
· Be responsible for the ensuring the cleanliness of the coldstore and other operational areas, and undertake regular hygiene duties
· Monitor and adhere to document control and records management across the Company in respect of all quality or H&S related documents
Attend HACCP, H&S and review meetings as required
· Provide information to facilitate the documentation of procedures and practices and attend meetings as appropriate
Adhere to all company policies, procedures and training, and ensure adherence to all health & safety and hygiene rules
· Understand, adhere to and promote the company Quality Management System (QMS) and Health and Safety (H&S) Systems

· Ensure that suitable and sufficient risk assessments, safe system of work and work instructions are in place for all work areas within remit
Be responsible for personal development, identifying training requirements and communicating them to relevant parties
Be flexible in your time management to suit challenging operational requirements and business growth
Any other duties as advised by the management team
Management, WMS, MHE Experience preferred
