Manufacturing Engineer – 4 day Week

Salary £35,000 to £40,000
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a proactive and detail-oriented Manufacturing Engineer to join a forward-thinking engineering environment. This role focuses on developing and improving manufacturing systems, processes, and equipment to maximise safety, quality, and delivery while minimising production costs.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan, coordinate, and implement efficient and cost-effective production methods for sub-assemblies and final product builds
* Work closely with production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve manufacturing issues
* Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventative actions
* Introduce and maintain best practice standard work on the shop floor to improve safety, quality, and efficiency
* Develop ergonomic processes aligned with Lean Manufacturing and 5S principles
* Support production through active participation in cross-functional teams
* Lead new product introduction activities including design for manufacture (DFM) reviews
* Establish manufacturing processes and support production launches
* Drive continuous improvement across manufacturing systems and procedures
Requirements
* Degree in Engineering
* Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, material management, and industrial engineering
* Experience in a similar manufacturing engineer role
* Computer literate with good technical capability
