Exciting Opportunity: Accounting Manager Hours: 32 – 39 Hours per week – Hours, start and finish times by agreement. Salary: £40,000 - £55,000 per annum (pro-rata), depending on experience. Holiday entitlement: Commencing at 31 days per annum, increasing with length of service up to 36 days. Location: Inverness. Role Highlights: This role is critical to the successful reporting of monthly performance, quarterly performance and will oversee the preparation of the Group Annual Financial Statements. One of the key objectives of this role is to ensure the timely delivery of the audit process and the financial statements. In addition to develop existing processes and systems to improve the monthly and corporate reporting to deliver timely and insightful information to enable business decisions to be made. Key Responsibilities: Financial Operations Lead preparation of accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Monitor and manage cash flow and liquidity. Oversee VAT, and HMRC processes. Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR). Prepare structured Management Information Reports Compliance & Audit Ensure adherence to accounting standards and tax regulations. Coordinate external audits. Maintain strong internal controls. Team Leadership Manage and mentor finance team members. Delegate tasks and oversee performance. Promote continuous improvement in accounting practices. Stakeholder Engagement Report to senior management and board members. Liaise with auditors, tax authorities, and external advisors. Required Experience & Skills: Previous industry experience Strong technical background and skill set Experience of working in several accounting systems with strong Excel skills Proven track record of delivering and implementing change with a passion for improvement Confident manner and ability to work well under pressure.
