* Represent the business at project meetings, site visits, and industry events.
* Maintain strong and clear communication with clients, architects, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
* Oversee workload planning to ensure work (both your own and the team's) is delivered on time, to budget and to quality standards.
* Produce fee quotations for new enquiries (in line with senior management guidance).
* Manage civil and structural design and detailing of projects from inception through to completion.
* Perform feasibility and technical studies using maps, survey data, plans and associated materials.
* Prepare technical documentation in line with relevant standards and local design regulations.
* Undertake quality assurance: check calculations, drawings, reports prior to issue.
* Identify and mitigate project risks (including health & safety concerns).
* Assign, coordinate and monitor work distribution among internal and external team members.
* Mentor and train junior engineers to develop technical and professional capabilities.
* Support business development: help expand client base in relevant sectors and fee bands.

Required Skills & Experience

* Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering required; Master's degree preferred.
* Minimum of ~7 years' progressive engineering experience, with solid exposure to civil/infrastructure and building structure projects.
* Strong experience with relevant engineering/design software (AutoCAD, CAD/structural analysis tools).
* Proven track record of managing multiple projects, delivering to deadlines and maintaining budget control.
* Excellent leadership, communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
* Experience or aptitude in business development and client relationship building.
* Understanding of sustainability/efficient design practices.

What\'s on Offer

* £55,000 - £65,000
* 25 days plus Bank Holidays
* Private healthcare benefits
* Pension / retirement scheme
* Equipment or tech‑benefit scheme (e.g. devices)
* Cycle to work scheme
* Team incentives and social events
* Opportunities for mentoring, professional growth and training

If you're an Associate Civil Engineer who thrives in both technical leadership and business growth, and you are ready to take full ownership of projects and nurture a team, we'd love to hear from you.
