Job summary
As part of the DWP Operational Delivery you will be at the heart of DWP's front line operations helping to change people lives in our communities from around the 20 million plus customer base.
DWP is responsible for helping people move into employment, supporting pensioners and protecting some of the most vulnerable in our society. We help people lift themselves out of poverty and to stay out of poverty, through work, saving and support. This is a hugely important public service, and our challenge is bigger than ever.
These are key roles and we welcome applications from people with strong leadership skills who are energetic and enthusiastic, to deliver exceptional customer service, with quality outcomes for our customers, partners and providers. You will be able to make sound decisions, drive performance, work collaboratively and lead others.
Specific locations and job roles are not yet finalised and we will confirm these with candidates at interview stage. Final decisions may come down to business need, and the skills and development requirements of candidates. We will endeavour to meet preferences when offers are made but this cannot be guaranteed.
As well as filling current roles, we will be looking to create a reserve list for future posts.
All roles will be office based with extensive travel across each respective District/Group expected and could cover multiple sites.

Written Sift
As part of the application process, you will be asked to complete a personal statement of no more than 1250 words. This will be assessed against the Key Criteria within the responsibilities section of the advert. Further details around what this will entail are listed on the application form.
When completing your Personal Statement, please read and understand the Key Criteria thoroughly as this is what your written evidence will assessed against.

The Sift
The sift will be conducted between25th September 2025 and 30th September 2025
Interview Stage
The interview process will consist of a mixture of Behaviour and Strength questions based on the four behaviours listed above which will last approximately 45 minutes. The Strength and Behaviour based questioning explores what the candidate can and has done, but also their potential.
To help you prepare and settle into the interview you will be sent the behaviour questions in advance of your interview. These questions should be treated as confidential and should not be shared. The interview panel may ask you other questions which will not be shared in advance, including follow-up questions, and those about your strengths.
Interviews will take place 13th October 2025 to 16th October 2025 at a Jobcentre location in Wales, which will be shared as part of the invite to interview process, and candidates will be given at least 5 working days' notice.

A reserve list may be held for a period of 3 months from which further appointments can be made. The reserve list may be used to offer future vacancies which arise in Wales Group and across the wider DWP network. Any such offers would be made in strict merit order and the location and job role would be fully explained
