Job Description
Our Renewable Energy team is seeking graduate candidates for assignments in Glasgow or Edinburgh, commencing from August 2026 onwards.
Responsibilities
* Support the delivery of consultancy services on renewable energy engineering projects, including site visits and supervision.
* Provide input into feasibility level studies for renewable energy projects in conjunction with wider AECOM teams.
* Prepare technical reports.
* Prepare detailed design information.
* Assist in securing work with renewable energy developers and their supply chain.

Qualifications
* BEng Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
* MSc/MEng would be an advantage.
* Minimum 2:1 (or equivalent) degree classification.
* Demonstrated commitment to continued education through approved training schemes.
* Interest in a career in renewable energy.
* Good Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
* Effective verbal and written communication skills with confidence to engage a range of stakeholders.
* Enthusiastic, hard‑working, ambitious and driven.
* Ability to structure and prioritise work effectively within a team.
* Capability to work independently while maintaining initiative and focus.
Preferred Qualifications
* Work experience in a renewable energy or related field (e.g., power developer, equipment manufacturer, consultant).
* Familiarity with CAD and PVSyst.
* Valid driving licence; occasional site travel may be required.
* Student membership of an appropriate professional institution.
* Fluency in a second language and/or relevant work experience outside the UK.
