Are you ready to use your analytical skills to make a real impact? We’re looking for a motivated Finance Analyst to join our client who is based in Edinburgh City Centre. Salary for this role is £45k and the client offers hybrid working (50% in the office). Ideally you will be a qualified accountant, but the client is open to someone currently studying or qualified by experience.
As a Finance Analyst, you’ll play a key role in providing high-quality financial analysis, reporting, and insight. From preparing month-end reports and building financial models to supporting compliance requirements, you’ll be central to helping the business make informed, strategic decisions.
You’ll work closely with colleagues across Finance and beyond, gaining exposure to a wide range of activities including budgeting, forecasting, pricing, payroll, VAT, and tax compliance. This role is perfect for someone who wants variety, responsibility, and the chance to really develop their expertise.
Duties will include:
1. Preparing month-end management reports, quarterly updates, and ad hoc analysis for partners, fee earners, and the finance team.
2. Creating and maintaining financial schedules, models, and reports that bring clarity to business performance.
3. Analysing financial performance across divisions, partner groups, locations, clients, and sectors.
4. Assisting with monthly payroll and supporting statutory and tax reporting (corporate tax, partnership tax, VAT).
5. Ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial data, including rates, utilisation, realisation, budgets, and headcount.
6. Taking ownership of projects throughout the year and delivering impactful, insightful results.
