Your Opportunity
We’re excited to invite a future team member to apply for the role of Vice President - Trade Surveillance (Model Management) within our Compliance team, located in Manchester – Hybrid.
Key Responsibilities
As the Vice President - Trade Surveillance (Model Management), you will play a crucial role in managing regulatory risk through effective trade surveillance across our global operations. Your impact will be felt in the following ways:
* Implement the firm’s approach to Trade Surveillance using cutting-edge technology solutions.
* Review transaction alert parameters to detect potential market abuse.
* Conduct thorough reviews and document alert parameter assessments and model performance testing.
* Lead thematic surveillance programs, coordinating efforts globally as needed.
* Collaborate with Business Compliance and relevant partners to ensure timely reporting of surveillance issues.
* Escalate findings in an organized manner.
* Adopt a holistic approach to surveillance, analyzing order flows and trader activities.
* Track and document issues, assisting in the production of Management Information.
What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, we seek candidates with the following qualifications:
* Experience: 7-10 years in the industry, with at least 3-4 years in Trade Surveillance, ideally with a trading background.
* Knowledge: Strong understanding of the financial services regulatory environment.
* Communication: Excellent spoken and written English skills, with the ability to comprehend compliance policies.
* Technical Skills: Advanced MS Office proficiency and strong data analytical skills.
* Attention to Detail: A focused attitude with the ability to meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
* Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
* Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage competing demands.
* Education: Bachelor’s Degree required.
