This opportunity would suit an experienced Production Team Leader / Supervisor with strong management & leadership skills, who is ready to take a step up in their career to an exciting new Production Manager role.
Your new role
The Production Manager will oversee production activities, manage equipment, and ensure timely deliveries while leading the production team to meet thepany's next-day delivery service. Working closely with a Production Supervisor, you will provide strong leadership to a team of production operatives and machine operators to ensure the smooth running of the production function, as well as implementing new ideas how the production department should be run to continually improve it. As part of this, you will:
1. Develop and maintain production schedules to ensure timely deliveries.
2. Manage equipment maintenance and repairs to minimise downtime.
3. Enforce quality standards to meet customer specifications and adhere to ISO standards.
4. Continuously improve production processes for efficiency and cost savings by applying lean and Kaizen principles.
5. Ensurepliance with health and safety protocols.
6. Lead and motivate the production team for maximum productivity.
7. Generate and submit performance reports to the Operations Director.
8. Manage materials and inventory to ensure adequate stock levels.
What you'll need to succeed
9. Strong people management and leadership experience gained within a production environment
10. Excellentmunication skills
11. Ability to lead and motivate a team
12. Able to have difficult conversations and solve issues on the shop floor
13. Production planning / scheduling experience
14. Experience of using SAP or similar ERP systems
15. Ideally, you will have experience of working to ISO quality standards
16. Willingness to travel to meet with customers, where required
