Job Title: Business Account Manager
Location: Newton Aycliffe, HO plus travel throughout Northeast where needed.
Reports to: Senior Sales Manager
Salary: £30,000
Job Purpose: We are seeking a driven and commercially focused Business Account Manager to lead on employer engagement and manage B2B delivery of funded training programmes, including Levy Apprenticeships, Skills Bootcamps, and Adult Skills Fund (ASF) initiatives. You will be responsible for developing employer partnerships, generating high-quality vacancies, and ensuring the successful delivery of learner outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Identify and engage new employers to support Apprenticeship, Bootcamp, and ASF programme delivery.
* Generate a minimum of 10 quality learner vacancies per month that align with programme and funding criteria.
* Create and deliver tailored proposals that match employer training needs with available programmes.
* Negotiate and finalise B2B agreements, ensuring contractual compliance and sustainability.
* Maintain a live employer pipeline, capturing leads, conversions, and pipeline progression using CRM tools.
* Promote additional opportunities to employers, including cross-selling Bootcamps and repeat Apprenticeship delivery.
* Monitor employer satisfaction and respond to feedback, continuously improving the employer experience.
Track and report on performance targets, ensuring:
* Minimum of 10 new, quality learner vacancies generated per month
* 100% achievement of M2 Interviews (initial employer interviews for learners),
* 75% achievement of M3 Outcomes (progression into sustained employment, further training, or Apprenticeship).
Work collaboratively with delivery, operations, and compliance teams to ensure seamless onboarding and programme success.
Requirements:
Essential:
* Proven experience in B2B sales, account management, or employer engagement—ideally in training, employability, or apprenticeships.
* Results-driven, with the ability to meet KPIs and outcome targets in a high-paced environment.
* Proficient in CRM systems and MS Office.
Desirable:
* Knowledge of Apprenticeship Levy, Skills Bootcamps, and ASF-funded programmes.
* Experience with government-funded programmes and ESFA compliance.
