An individual with approximately 4-7 years of UK based experience working as a contractor or for a consultancy in the ground investigation industry.
Job Description:
Working as a Geotechnical / Geo-Environmental Engineer you will be required to manage a range of ground investigations and take responsibility for successful completion.
Primary job roles will include:
• Organising and managing multiple engineering contracts from tender stage to completion.
• Liaison with clients and site occupiers to organise fieldwork
• Supervision of trial pitting, cable percussion drilling, rotary drilling, window sampling, inspection pits, dynamic probing and dynamic cone penetrometer testing
• Processing of field information and lab schedules
• Factual and interpretive reporting
• Commercial management of investigation works
- Mentoring junior Engineers
Essential Skills Required:
• Experience of setting up and executing investigation contracts in accordance with current best working practice and standards
• Commercial awareness in order to stay within project budget
• Awareness and understanding of site H&S requirements
• Ability to accurately log soil and rock in accordance with BS5930+A2
• Carrying out site sampling and in situ testing in accordance with best practice and current standards
• Ability to schedule laboratory testing, liaise with the testing lab on progress and understand the principals of the test results
• Ability to write factual and interpretive reports
• Full and clean UK driving license
