Our focus is on creating inclusive and accessible programs for children and families from low-income backgrounds and people of all ages with disabilities. Key initiatives include holiday programs for young people, an inclusive cycling project, and a variety of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) services. Additionally, we deliver tailored educational programs designed for children and adults who thrive in practical learning environments. Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role based in Worcester, with opportunities for remote work as appropriate. As a Program Manager, you will oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of various PAL initiatives, ensuring programs align with the organisation's mission of inclusivity and community support. Key responsibilities include managing project delivery, coordinating with partners and stakeholders, monitoring program outcomes, preparing detailed reports, and maintaining compliance with organisational and regulatory guidelines. You will also supervise team members, manage budgets, and facilitate activities to foster an inclusive and supportive environment for all participants.
Salary range: £28,000-30,500

Qualifications
* Strong project management and organisational skills, including the ability to plan, execute, and evaluate programs effectively.
* Experience in team leadership and staff coordination to achieve project goals successfully.
* Familiarity with creating and maintaining community partnerships, as well as liaising with schools, colleges, and other stakeholders.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written, to engage diverse groups, including children, families, and professionals.
* Capacity to manage and report on budgets and funding, with attention to detail and compliance requirements.
* Knowledge of inclusive and adaptive activity programs, specifically for individuals with disabilities or disadvantaged backgrounds.
* Passion for creating accessible and supportive environments, with a commitment to the principles of diversity and inclusion.
* Prior experience in similar roles, with understanding or exposure to education, community services, or health promotion projects.
* A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field such as Education, Community Development, Inclusive sports or activity provision or project management experience is desired.
Essential criteria
* Proven experience in planning, leading and evaluating programmes or sessions for children and young people with SEND, including adapting activities to meet a wide range of needs.
* Demonstrable knowledge of SEND‑inclusive delivery, including the use of behaviour management strategies and person‑centred approaches.
* Experience directly leading sessions or activities, with confidence working hands‑on with children and young people.
* Strong project management skills, with the ability to plan, deliver, monitor and report on programmes against agreed outcomes, timescales and budgets.
* Experience of line managing, supervising or coordinating staff and/or volunteers, including providing guidance and support.
Desirable
* Teaching qualification, SEND‑specific qualification, or SEND sports coaching certification (e.g. inclusive coaching awards or adaptive activity qualifications).
* Background or professional experience within education, community services, youth work, health promotion or inclusive sport/activity provision.
* Safeguarding training (Children or Children & Adults at Risk), or willingness to complete upon appointment.
* Valid First Aid qualification, or willingness to undertake training.
* Experience working with neurodivergent children, children with physical disabilities, learning disabilities or social, emotional and mental health needs.
* Experience managing funding streams, grants or commissioned programmes.
* Familiarity with monitoring and evaluation frameworks and impact measurement tools.
* Understanding of local authority, education or voluntary sector contexts.
* A relevant Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Education, Community Development, Inclusive Sport, Youth Work or Project Management.
