Responsibilities Act as the primary technical contact for a diverse portfolio of domestic and international trusts and estates. Provide high-level advisory services, including the drafting of comprehensive technical reports for executors and beneficiaries. Advise on complex Inheritance Tax (IHT) and Capital Gains Tax (CGT) planning, including lifetime transfers and trust restructuring. Lead the technical delivery of trust accounts and trust/estate tax returns, ensuring seamless compliance and reporting. Support Partners and Directors with business development and the continued expansion of the firm’s fiduciary tax services. As a Trusts & Estates Tax Manager you will: Manage the commercial performance of your portfolio, including WIP, billing, and the management of project deadlines. Mentor and coach junior staff, reviewing their technical output and supporting their professional development toward CTA or STEP qualifications. Confidently manage and negotiate HMRC enquiries and technical settlements on behalf of clients. Drive departmental efficiency by identifying and implementing process improvements in trust administration and reporting. Build and maintain strong relationships with external advisers, including solicitors and investment managers. What You’ll Receive 2–3 days per week hybrid working. 25 days annual leave.
