University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust (UHCW) is one of the UK’s largest teaching trusts. We are looking for a Digital and Data Executive to cover interim maternity leave for one year.
Role Overview
As the Interim Chief Digital & Data Officer, you will lead the implementation of the Trust’s Digital and Data strategy, support service delivery, and drive digital culture and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the Digital and Data teams, ensuring high quality, safe and effective digital infrastructure and robust data security.
* Engage with clinical and non‑clinical colleagues to foster a digital culture and realise the benefits of digital and data‑driven transformation.
* Provide clear assurance and governance frameworks to ensure compliance with NHS and statutory digital and data standards.
* Lead visible leadership of the ICT, Digital and Performance and Informatics teams, supporting growth and development.
* Create and promote a data‑driven improvement culture, using data to inform quality information and best practice.
* Engage with national, regional partners and networks to identify technology and investment opportunities.
* Represent the Trust regionally and nationally, influencing policy and delivery.
* Chair the Trust Digital and Data Transformation Advisory Board and the Digital and Data Hospital Sub‑Committee.
Qualifications & Experience
* Extensive experience in digitalisation strategy, complex information systems, advanced technology, governance and cyber security at an executive level.
* Proven track record of developing complex business cases and investment strategies within large and complex organisations.
* Experience delivering digital innovation and transformation in a healthcare environment.
* Strong skills in stakeholder engagement, leadership and strategic decision‑making.
Hours & Working Pattern
7.5 hours per week, on‑site participation required, flexible working arrangements considered.
