Product Manager
Oxford (2 days a week onsite)
R&D & AI
A world-class, AI Research organisation - backed by heavyweight investment and an ambitious roadmap to tackle some of humanity’s biggest problems - is building a new tech team in Oxford.
They’re quietly assembling an unbelievable team of Applied ML experts, researchers, and technologists, and now they need a Product Manager to help shape what that future looks like. They’re looking to double in size this year so this is an unbelievable opportunity to shape the team early doors.
We’re talking deep-tech meets real-world application in areas like:
* Health & Medical Research
* Clean Energy & Climate Tech
* Sustainable AgTech & Food Security
* AI for Government & Public Infrastructure
If you've got a research background (or a deep respect for it), and you’re curious about how cutting-edge AI can accelerate impact across these domains, you’ll be right at home here.
What you’ll do:
* Own and define product strategy for AI/ML tools supporting multi-disciplinary science and tech programmes
* Work directly with top-tier technical teams (Data Science, ML Ops) and programme leads to build tools that matter
* Translate wickedly complex domain problems into clear technical requirements and product roadmaps
* Champion the voice of the user - whether that’s a scientist, policymaker, or clinician—and ensure product decisions align with impact
* Communicate like a pro-up, down, and sideways. You’ll brief stakeholders from engineers to execs
What we’re looking for:
* Experience building AI/ML or software products, ideally in one or more of: HealthTech, ClimateTech, AgTech, FinTech, Energy, GeoTech
* Strong grasp of research/scientific concepts, even if you’re not a published academic
* Proven track record wrangling cross-functional teams and high-calibre stakeholders
* Self-starter who thrives in ambiguity and can make things happen without a 500-page PRD
* Great communication, strong critical thinking, and the kind of attention to detail that makes scientists and engineers respect you
Bonus points if you:
* Have worked in or with a research lab, think tank, or public sector innovation programme
* Can explain diffusion models to a non-technical audience without making them cry
* Genuinely want to work on big, world-shaping problems

Benefits – fully paid for travel, flexi hours, private medical cover, pension, top training from around the world, working with exceptional talent ex- DeepMind, Meta, Amazon etc.
