: First Military Recruitment is currently seeking a Fabricator on behalf of one of our clients.
Day-to-day operations include lining out and marking off following the interpretation of drawings and specifications, and undertaking fabrication works including cutting, bending, and bonding of sheet metals. This role will be on a day shift only and is ideal for someone with a proactive and positive mindset and a keen desire to grow their skillset. Flexibility is required as the role involves working shifts.

Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Assemble and fabricate metal parts using hand tools and power tools.
2. Perform metal bonding tasks.
3. Read and interpret drawings to ensure accurate production.
4. Utilise mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
5. Ensure manufacturing quality meets high standards and all quality paperwork is completed.
6. Maintain cleanliness and order in work areas.
7. Perform other reasonable tasks as assigned by your team leader or supervisor.
8. Report and address quality issues promptly.
9. Report compliance concerns, issues, and failures.
10. Participate in training as required.
11. Take reasonable care of yourself and others, following all safety policies and procedures at all times.
Skills and Qualifications:
1. Experience with power tools and hand tools for metalworking.
2. Competent numeracy and literacy skills.
3. Skill in measuring, cutting, clamping, grinding, and drilling metal pieces before bonding.
4. Good IT skills, including experience with Microsoft programs.
5. Manufacturing knowledge and experience.
6. A positive attitude towards continuous improvement.
7. Flexibility regarding working hours.
8. Adherence to safety procedures and wearing protective gear.
