Generative artificial intelligence (AI) describes algorithms that can be used to produce new content, including audio, code, images, text, simulations, and videos. It is developing all the time and is now being used as a support mechanism for all kinds of content-based creations. Please note the use of AI is monitored and if applicants have used it then they are required to declare this.

This post is to provide liaison between BHOC, referring consultants, NHSBT and external agencies and companies; accepting referrals from consultants in time to co-ordinate and organise the BMT/IEC procedures.

To formulate and communicate complex BMT/IEC management plans with patients, the multidisciplinary team, wards within BHOC and external companies and agencies.

Following the preceptorship period the post holder is expected to carry out all relevant forms of care without direct supervision and is required to demonstrate procedures, supervise unqualified staff whilst maintaining a safe working environment

1. Demonstrate politeness, courtesy and sensitivity in providing compassionate care for patients, visitors/relatives and colleagues.

2. Contribute towards sharing good practice within the BMT department and Trust wide.

3. Promote a positive image of University Hospital Bristol & Weston NHS Foundation Trust at all times.

4. To provide nursing support for BMT workup clinics and to the BMT blood test and review clinics

5. Work cohesively with all members of the BMT team and promote effective liaison with all members of the multi-disciplinary team in ensuring that the very best services to patients are provided at all times.

6. Communicate effectively within the team, participate in motivating and supporting team members and maintain confidentiality with patients and carers. Give written and verbal advice/teaching to patients and carers.

7. In partnership with other professionals and disciplines, develop measurable patient care plans/goals. The process should include assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care.

8. The post holder will work with the BMT co-ordination team and multidisciplinary team members in monitoring and maintaining policies, standards of nursing care and staff development, as part of the BMT co-ordination team.

9. Ensure nursing documentation is maintained, accurate and timely in line with the Trust standard
