The UK Safran Electrical & Power team has expertise in designing and developing electrical systems comprising generators, power conversion, distribution and control, with developing expertise in electric motors for aircraft propulsion. As a Procurement Lead at Safran Electrical & Power you will be responsible for allocated suppliers across the commodity, expediting orders placed when necessary. You will act as the focal point for all day-to-day material requirements across a range of agreed suppliers, building relationships with key stakeholders, while also leading and coordinating with buyers to ensure deliveries are actioned on time. You will utilise your innovative capabilities to drive improvement within the procurement team, helping to find solutions within the supply chain. The Role Act as the central point of contact for day-to-day material requirements from a range of suppliers Provide leadership and day to day management to assigned team of Buyers. Significant levels of coordination and communication with both internal and external stakeholders as part of a cross-functional global supply chain team Escalate issues with suppliers and buyers as and when necessary, whilst also resolving changes to planned supply, keeping line management updated Work closely with the Program Manager to ensure they are updated regularly on the status of supply for their programs, taking identified actions on behalf of the purchasing team Manage deliveries of purchase orders to be just in time for inventory management Drive improvement actions within the procurement team via KPI reviews and maintenance, helping to find solutions to common issues Work with suppliers to resolve issues that affect performance such as quality discrepancies, booking-in queries and invoice query resolution Coordinate with the commodity team for new vendor introductions
