I’m currently supporting a leading organisation in the property space as they look to bring an Energy Manager into their team. If you’re passionate about reducing energy consumption, improving building performance, and driving meaningful sustainability outcomes across various portfolios, this is a fantastic opportunity to take the lead.
This position will see you working across a varied real estate, helping shape the energy strategy while identifying and delivering efficiency improvements. You’ll be involved in everything from analysing usage data and carrying out detailed assessments, through to guiding stakeholders on carbon-reduction plans and ensuring compliance with key UK and European standards.
Key Areas You’ll Own
* Developing portfolio-wide energy improvement strategies.
* Conducting in-depth audits and spotting opportunities for optimisation and renewable integration.
* Monitoring performance, interpreting data, and supporting ESG reporting.
* Advising property managers and wider teams on best practice, technology options, and sustainability pathways.
* Producing clear, concise reports and presenting your findings to internal and external stakeholders.
What They’re Looking For
* A degree related to energy, engineering, or sustainability.
* 3+ years of experience in energy management within commercial real estate.
* Good knowledge of energy management systems and sustainability frameworks (ISO 50001, EPC requirements, NABERS, BREEAM, LEED, etc.).
* Strong analytical skills and familiarity with energy monitoring or data tools.
* Confident communicator with the ability to influence and collaborate across different teams.
