Barton-under-Needwood, provide specialist logistics and supply chain solutions for our prestigious client. We have an exciting opportunity for a practiced and detail-driven Aerospace Quality Inspector.
In this vital role, you'll play a key part in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards through precise and thorough inspections, helping us exceed operational targets and deliver excellence every time. This role will see you working Monday to Friday, typically between 8:30am - 5pm; however, working hours can be discussed.
This role offers a competitive salary of up to £43,400 per annum plus a £2,000 per annum bonus, 26 days annual leave plus bank holidays, a 4% match on pension, life assurance, sickness cover, and access to our employee assistance and benefits portal.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
Reporting into the Aerospace Inspections Manager, you will:
1. Ensure quality inspections are completed on inbound and outbound deliveries, measuring and inspecting parts referring to relevant technical drawings and specifications.
2. Ensure that parts and products meet air quality and worthiness standards, capturing, documenting, and preventing non-conforming stock from entering our supply chain.
3. Visually inspect parts with high attention to detail using first principal methods, tools, and auditing processes in line with industry standards and regulatory controls.
4. Maintain excellent working relationships with the client and internal colleagues, capturing and escalating issues, documenting and implementing solutions to mitigate future risks.
5. Work in a compliant manner to ensure all products and parts are built to the correct specifications without compromising quality.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
To be considered, you must demonstrate:
* Proven mechanical engineering qualification or NVQ level 3 in engineering.
* Proven experience in a quality inspection role.
* Experience using various engineering and measuring equipment.
* Experience in dimensional measurements and interpreting technical engineering drawings.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* The ability to build excellent working relationships at all levels.
It would be desirable, but not essential, to have experience working in the aerospace/aviation industry.
