The Role:
An exciting opportunity to join a progressive and market leading company within the construction safety sector. The role is to safely use our articulated lorry (with a moffett) to deliver and collect essential equipment to a variety of clients across the country at a FORS gold standard, whilst maintaining the company's exceptional reputation for customer excellence.
At SafeSite Facilities, we don't just move goods - we deliver safety, reliability, and peace of mind to sites across the UK. This role will be based out of our Ford Depot at Rudford Industrial Estate.
Health, Safety & Environment
This role will be required to ensure that all health and safety processes are being followed.
Sufficient experience in relevant Health and Safety, loading, unloading and overnight cab stay is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
The specific accountabilities of this flexible role may alter from time to time to meet the needs of the company, but accountabilities will include (or be equivalent in nature to) those listed below:
_Goods Transportation_
To liaise with operations department regarding the following day's journey including planning the route of delivery, allowing for any timed drops or other irregularities
To check that load items, security, all necessary equipment, paperwork and fuel cards are on board prior to leaving the depot for the day's journey
Moffett Operation
Safely and efficiently operate a Moffett to load and unload materials.
Conduct pre-operation checks to ensure the Moffett is in proper working condition.
Keep the Moffett clean and in good working order.
_Vehicle Management_
To perform and record daily vehicle safety checks before departure
To unload goods at the customer's premises safely, efficiently, in first class condition, in a safe and professional manner
To complete all company required documentation
To follow driving rules and regulations within the Working Time Directive (WTD)
_Health & Safety_
To be aware of the legal load capacity of the vehicle to be driven
To be aware of and follow company procedure for vehicle breakdowns
Report to management all vehicle defects and maintenance requirements as soon as possible and drivers daily check sheet
To Keep your allocated vehicle clean and in good working order
To assist with warehouse duties as required
Level of Knowledge & Experience
_Essential _
Comprehensive level of Class 1 driving experience
Sound commercial vehicle driving experience.
Driver CPC in date
Must Hold a Digi card and driver card
Excellent knowledge of the highway code
Good knowledge of Health and Safety regulations
Must not have no more than 6 points on your licence.
_Advantageous_
FORS Gold certification/experience
Telehandler or Forklift certification
First Aid Certification
Previous relevant experience in efficient delivery of mixed loads
