Overview
Play a key role as Clerical Officer within the Health Record Services, supporting the Anaesthetics and Theatre Team. This position offers opportunities to develop new administrative skills.
Key Responsibilities
* Work effectively as part of a large team while taking initiative on daily tasks.
* Communicate clearly and professionally with staff and patients.
* Manage workload efficiently, working under pressure and maintaining high standards.
* Perform clerical duties, including maintaining accurate filing systems, photocopying, handling emails, and telephone calls from patients.
* Update rotas, use databases and spreadsheets, and support office procedures.
* Carry out ad‑hoc duties as required by the Anaesthetic & Theatre Department and meet strict timescales.
* Maintain confidentiality of patient and staff information.
* Exhibit flexibility and strong organisational skills.
Requirements
* Previous clerical experience.
* Knowledge of office procedures and IT applications.
* Working knowledge of databases and spreadsheets.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Preparation for a Level 2 Disclosure Scotland check.
Working Hours
Full‑time: 36 hours per week (reduced from 37 hours) with a corresponding increase in hourly rate, ensuring total pay is not affected. Part‑time hours will be adjusted pro‑rata.
Visa Sponsorship
