We have a fantastic opportunity to join the Central Ordering Team at Greggs as a Distribution Requirements Planner, on a temporary basis for 15 months.

About the role

12. This is a full-time role (39 hours per week) Mon- Fri with 1 in 12 weekends being worked
13. This is a temporary role for 15 months

15. The base location for this role is Kettering.

What you'll do

As a Distribution Requirement Planner, you’ll be responsible for raising purchase orders against suppliers & ensuring sufficient inventory is in place at our radial depots to meet the demand of our shops and customers.

Details of role include:

16. Act as a key and effective member of the Supply Chain and Distribution team
17. Monitoring and managing stock levels in our depots, following agreed inventory targets for each product
18. Work with external suppliers to ensure availability of products in our national depots by raising purchase orders relevant to the demand of the business
19. Responsible for managing and tracking these purchase orders from creation to delivery, ensuring timely processing while responding to changes in demand and supplier updates
20. Manage stock at radial depots ensuring that the right product is in the right place at the right time for onward supply to shops
21. Identifying possible stock risks (such as excess or low inventory) and raising them with the relevant teams
22. Maintain KPI targets based upon availability percentage and waste costs
23. Responsibility for ensuring accurate information of inventory levels and availability is communicated to supply sites and wider business
24. Liaising with site teams to ensure operations run smoothly, promoting effective working relationships

About you

You will fit right into this role if you can demonstrate:

25. You are a strong team player, able to build good working relationships at all levels
26. A proven ability to provide excellence in supply chain planning and stock inventory management
27. Industry experience within an FMCG organisation highly advantageous
28. High levels of accuracy and attention to detail
29. Strong resilience and flexibility, successfully adapting to shifting priorities and business change in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
30. Strong adaptability and resilience when navigating changing processes, ongoing training, and working across multiple systems
31. Strong numerical, analytical and planning skills
32. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
33. Strong administrative and organisational skills
34. IT skills including Microsoft 365; SharePoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams
35. Experience of working with SAP ECC, S4 HANA, IBP, or other MRP planning software desirable (not essential)
36. You are self-motivated with the ability to work under pressure and using own initiative
