We’re looking for an experienced, motivated and forward‑thinking Family Hub Deputy Manager to help shape and strengthen Wokingham’s Best Start Family Hubs. This is a brilliant opportunity to lead day‑to‑day delivery across our hub network, champion early help, and make sure children, young people and families receive the right support at the right time.
Our Family Hubs bring partners together to deliver the Helping Early and Best Start in Life strategies through welcoming, accessible and high‑quality services. You’ll work closely with colleagues across Health, Education, Early Years, SEND and the voluntary and community sector to build strong local connections and continuously improve what we offer.

Key Responsibilities
* Act as the key liaison between the Family Hub Team manager and staff, ensuring the strategic vision for Best Start Family Hubs is effectively communicated, operationalised and embedded into our work with children and their families
* Deputise for and support the Family Hub Team Manager and other Deputy Managers in their absence, including attending and leading key Family Hub agendas
* Manage day‑to‑day operations, premises, scheduling and the health and safety of Family Hub sites
* Coordinate and enable multi‑agency delivery of Family Hub services and access to universal and targeted support through multi‑agency partners, including the VCSF
* Directly line manage and provide formal supervision and performance management of staff allocated to Family Hubs
Candidate Requirements
* Relevant Level 3–5 qualification in health, social care, education or community work (or equivalent experience)
* Experience of supervising family work or community engagement activity
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Informed and ethical value base in keeping with public service
* Ability to work with sensitive and confidential information about children
