About the Role: The role involves overseeing Contractor Commissioning activities at ONS sites, providing remote technical support, and ensuring the successful commissioning of the HVDC system.
Responsibilities:
* Oversee Contractor Commissioning activities at ONS sites
* Provide remote technical support to the team in Dubai and offshore commissioning activities
* Support Commissioning activities for the OSS for both Yard works and offshore works
* Focus 60-70% of time on the HVDC ONS build and commissioning, interfacing with site technical roles
* Understand the progress of the OSS commissioning in Dubai for the remaining 30-40%
* Provide an overview of all commissioning activities for the HVDC system
* Work with RWE (Commissioning, Engineering and Quality) and Contractor Technical teams to respond to questions
* Attend SATs and manage ITPs from a technical perspective
* Provide training to new starters such as the O&M team
* Coordinate and complete the commissioning file
* Respond to technical questions relating to readiness for commissioning
* Client witness and sign off of commissioning works
* Investigate and report on faults during the commissioning phase
* Represent the Commissioning team in onshore coordination and SIMOP meetings
* Support the Commissioning Package Manager to ensure required onshore Commissioning procedures are available
* Ensure accurate ‘As Built’ Drawings and Commissioning Records are kept by the Subcontractor
Qualifications: Relevant educational background in engineering or a related field.
Required Skills:
* Strong technical knowledge of commissioning processes
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Preferred Skills:
* Experience in HVDC systems
* Familiarity with offshore commissioning activities
