Footlights Worcester is seeking a passionate and dedicated LAMDA teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will work with students from our stage school for an hour per week from 1.00pm to 2.00pm on Saturday in term time, working towards the Acting Qualification (with plans to introduce Musical Theatre).
You will be teaching small groups of around students with support from another tutor.
There will be additional opportunities for cover and holiday school work.
Responsibilities
* Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans that align with the LAMDA curriculum and suit various learning styles.
* Inspire creativity and confidence in students through dynamic and interactive teaching methods.
* Track and maintain records of student attendance, progress, and achievements.
* Provide constructive feedback to students and parents, ensuring clear communication about student development..
Requirements
* A recognised qualification or experience in teaching acting & LAMDA qualifications.
* In-depth knowledge of the LAMDA curriculum
* Previous experience teaching or working with children or young people.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students and parents.
* Flexibility to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs, including supporting students with SEN.
* A genuine passion for the performing arts and making a difference in students' lives.
